TEMPO.COJakarta - Speedtest - a company that deals with fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data, and analysis - released its research on the internet speed of cellular operators across Indonesian regions with a minimum of 300 users during the 4th quarter of 2022.

Their report revealed that the average download speed for Telkomsel's internet in Indonesia reached 20.85 megabits per second (Mbps) in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, in terms of data transmission delay (latency), Telkomsel is still the most superior with a latency of 47 milliseconds.

In the same year, XL was ranked as Indonesia’s second mobile operator with the fastest internet with an average download speed of 19.18 Mbps. Furthermore, IM3 Ooredoo ranks third by logging an average download speed of 12.77 Mbps.

The following cellular service providers ranking fourth and fifth are Samrtfren and 3 with average download speeds of 11.79 Mbps and 10.9 Mbps.

Cellular operators that provide the best service can also be identified based on the consistency of the internet network.
